O Lord our God, we confess that we do not reflect Your glory.

We devote ourselves to small things while You work for a greater purpose. We distract ourselves with grand designs while you surprise us with hidden wonders. Forgive us; restore and reorder our lives by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, so that we may know Your will, seek Your way, and share Your work, to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

God makes all things new.

Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old has passed away; everything has become new!

Friends, believe the gospel: in Jesus Christ we are loved, we are blessed, we are forgiven.

Glory be to God. Amen.

Life and Ministry of the Messiah

In Life and Ministry of the Messiah, volume 3 of the "Faith Lessons" series, historian and teacher Ray Vander Laan illustrates how Jesus' call to follow him turned the world upside down. Journey back to the time of Jesus, marvel at the magnificence of Herod's palace, scramble among the ruins of Qumran, and wonder at the simplicity and wisdom of Jesus' parables. Discover how the events of Jesus' day impacted his life and ministry - and how it affects yours today.

Bible Study of the Book of 1 Peter

Our inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the early church, describes believers' true identity in Christ, and ultimately helps readers discover what it means to experience the Living Hope they have in Christ. Key themes of humility, submission, and identity in Christ guide the study of 1 Peter as participants are challenged to read the book in its entirety each week. Teaching videos are key to the understanding of this study.

Time of Prayer: Every Friday at 12 noon. Next is June 21.

Bible Study: Book of 1 Peter. Every Tuesday. at 7 p.m.

Coffee Hour: Sign-up Sheet in Fellowship Hall
