Life and Ministry of the Messiah
In Life and Ministry of the Messiah, volume 3 of the "Faith Lessons" series, historian and teacher Ray Vander Laan illustrates how Jesus' call to follow him turned the world upside down. Journey back to the time of Jesus, marvel at the magnificence of Herod's palace, scramble among the ruins of Qumran, and wonder at the simplicity and wisdom of Jesus' parables. Discover how the events of Jesus' day impacted his life and ministry - and how it affects yours today.
Bible Study of the Book of 1 Peter
Our inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the early church, describes believers' true identity in Christ, and ultimately helps readers discover what it means to experience the Living Hope they have in Christ. Key themes of humility, submission, and identity in Christ guide the study of 1 Peter as participants are challenged to read the book in its entirety each week. Teaching videos are key to the understanding of this study.

From Our Past
Living Water Christian Church of the Shenandoah Valley was organized and established on June 8, 2016, at a meeting at Sue Megee’s home. There were 19 of the faithful remnant at that meeting. The meeting was spirit filled and, perhaps in some small measure, reflected what Pentecost may have been like. There was excitement in the air. Everyone was participating and ideas were flowing. We were not focused on the past, but looking ahead to what God was doing.
A motion was made and seconded that James Boyette be the pastor and spiritual head of this newly assembled group. The vote was unanimous. I, Pastor James Boyette, of the Living Water Christian Church stated that I would serve without compensation until the church was financially able.
Rita Hallman allowed the new church the use of her two-car garage. The first worship service was held the following Sunday in the garage. There were 33 in attendance.
Everyone brought with them lounge chairs for seating. The following Sunday we had pews. The pews were donated by a church in Edinburg. We held our worship service in the garage and Sunday School for the children on a picnic table beneath a shade tree. We praised God for the new blessing!
We gave God praise for every blessing. In a couple of months, we were registered with the state and received our 501c3 status. Just as the weather began to get cold in November, the council met with the Pastor of New Covenant Church. They allowed us to rent their fellowship hall every Sunday and one classroom for Bible Study on Tuesday. We praised God for another new blessing!
In February of the following year in 2017, New Covenant Church gave the Living Water Christian Church of the Shenandoah Valley the building and property. The title was transferred over and Living Water Christian Church of the Shenandoah Valley is now
located at 72 N Lake Ave., Front Royal, VA. We praised God for yet another blessing. We held our first service in the new house given to us by God on February 12, 2017.
The sanctuary was beautiful. We were also blessed with a sound board, video projector and screen, offices, Sunday school rooms and practically new kitchen appliances.
Almost 3 acres of land with a pavilion and an outdoor basketball court were included. To God went all praise and glory!
On July 30, 2017, a dedication service was held at the Living Water Christian Church.
There were 86 people in attendance. God blessed us with a beautiful church with no mortgage. We had no excuse but to serve, worship and praise God!
We followed God’s recipe of faith and he gave us His love, mercy, and grace.
Blessings to all who put this book to use for God’s glory,
Pastor James W. Boyette
